FibreconX Macquarie Park

Mikcomm were engaged to complete a complex network construction through Macquarie Park NSW to ensure critical services were able to be commissioned for very large companies, connecting critical data centres.

 

Mikcomm had significant challenges to complete the activities such as under boring Epping Road, difficult landowners, fighting the worst rain in 100 years, constructing intricate 4 x 100mm ducts in extreme congestion and working through a global pandemic.

 

Although everything was thrown at Mikcomm through this project we completed 4km of intricate pit and pipe with zero defects at walkover, setting the benchmark for all other contractors.

KOODIDERI RAIL

We have recently completed the Koodaideri Rail Network in the harsh conditions of the West Australian Pilbara.

 

We completed of 60 joints and fully terminated, tested and commissioned this network to world class standards including CD and PMD testing for the DWDM cores.

We developed custom workbook and supporting documentation to detail the results in a concise yet easy to read format.

OPTUS TUNCURRY

5G Microcell site

  • 6 Fibre optic joints 

  • Live network cutover and interconnection back to the hub site

ROY HILL MINE

  • 250 fibre optic joints 

  • 60 communication cabinets 

  • Internal fibre network design and construct in operations centres at mine and port loops

  • Chromatic Dispersion and Polarisation Mode Dispersion Testing on DWDM links

OPTUS 312 CBD TO LOCKRIDGE LINK

Full turn key civil construction over 15km, including:

  • Repair and upgrade of existing networks sections

  • Interconnections with other carriers 

  • Installation of cabinet in exchange and satellite station

  • Termination of exchange fibres 

  • Bulk splicing of external 312 joints and full test and commissioning 

OPTUS MT WHITE AND CALGA

New mobile sites :

  • 4.1km of construction

  • 5km of cable hauling

  • 8 splice enclosures

  • Full rock HDD

  • Redesign works to accommodate route change proposals due to environmental and community issues

OPTUS M4 RELOCATION

Relocation project due to the widening of the Northern Road and bridge drop in Penrith M4, including:

  • Design to find best location

  • Full service and asset location using NDD

  • 3.5km of full turnkey installation

  • 1.7km of new construction
